  • Leadership in the School - The applicant has gone above and beyond the call of duty to improve the learning conditions for students in their school system.
  • Leadership in the Profession - The applicant has demonstrated commitment to improving the level of professionalism among school business administrators by providing professional development opportunities for others and by motivating others to achieve.
  • Professional Development - The applicant has shown continuous interest in learning and in staying abreast of developments in the school business management field.

This award sponsored by American Fidelity recognizes outstanding school business officials for their work and dedication to the profession. The Calendar Year recipient will receive an elegant achievement award as well as a cash gift of $200.  Winner of the award will be announced at the Annual Conference.

The application process has been greatly simplified and currently only requires a short narrative outlining the nominee's “contribution to the profession.”

The Service to the Profession Award is to honor school business officials who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the level of professionalism among school business administrators by providing professional development opportunities for others and by motivating others to achieve. They have shown continuous interest in learning and in staying abreast of developments in the school business management field and have gone above and beyond the call of duty to improve the learning conditions for students in their school system.
