Membership Benefits

Current members can access the membership renewal form by following this link.  You will need to log in using your current username and password.

There are two basic levels of membership in the Colorado Association of School Business Officials.

Active Membership Associate Membership

Available to individuals employed by a public, private or parochial school, or a college/university performing school business functions. Also open to individuals employed by the state department of education.

Annual Membership dues are $100

School District Organizational Memberships are a great way to save your district money.  Learn more here.

Available for individuals commercially interested in the field of school business, including exhibitors, business firms, advertisers, professional engineers, architects, certified public accountants, or other business related professionals.

Annual Membership dues are $200

 

Additionally, Active Members can earn one of two distinguished membership levels:

  • Emeritus Members -  an individual who an Active Member at the time of retirement and is not employed in any area of school management or related endeavors can apply for Emeritus membership.
  • Honorary Members - those who have distinguished themselves in public or professional service, can be elected as honorary members by the Board of Directors.

School District Employees are provided several benefits through membership in CASBO.

CASBO Professional development and networking
Colorado ASBO provides programs and services to promote the highest standards for school business managers through professional development, recognition and effective management of available resources.  Members can attend two annual Colorado ASBO conferences at the discounted member rate, experiencing direct professional development sessions targeted at improving member job effectiveness, as well as providing numerous opportunities to network with peers from across the state.

Information to be successful
The association provides the information concerning legislative issues in Colorado, the ever-changing world of school business management and a reliable listing of companies providing products and services to schools.

Publications: Members are subscribed to the "CASBO Quarterly", the official newsletter of the Association (published 4 times per year)

Membership Directory and Buyers’ Guide: Access to a searchable database of current active and associate members including more than 100 reputable companies' products and services for schools

Regional Chapters: Peer contact through monthly Regional Chapter meetings.

Resource Library: Access to a searchable resource library for RFPs, Quotations and Bids, Conference sessions and more.

Help when needed most
Whether unemployed or a student needing help to pay for classes — help is here every step of the way.

Employment Opportunities: Online listing of current job vacancies for school business officials and central office support staff.

Student scholarships: High School Seniors who are an eligible dependent of an active member of CASBO, who show character, citizenship and dependability traits which would indicate success in an institution of higher learning, and who have received acceptance into an institution of higher learning are invited to apply for one of two $1,000 scholarships from CASBO.

 


Associate Member Benefits         Annual Dues are $200            Membership year is April 1 to March 31 

Businesses and Corporations benefit by membership in CASBO in the following ways:

Obtain and maintain clientele
In the Spring and Fall,  Annual Conferences provide the opportunity to exhibit your company's products and services to hundreds of school business officials.  Associate Members can attend or exhibit at two annual Colorado ASBO conferences at the discounted member rate

Information to be successful
Providing a direct link for schools and companies to foster business endeavors. Educating company representatives about current school business management procedures and policies enhance an awareness of the way schools conduct business.  The association provides the latest information concerning  the ever-changing world of school business management and a reliable listing of companies providing products and services to schools.

Maximizing opportunities
Information, resources and advantages for a successful partnership.

Membership Directory: Access to association "Associate" member directory, and at certain sponsorship levels (Prestigious Partner and Platinum Sponsors) access to a searchable "Active" member directory.  All associate members will receive a listing of their name and company’s services in the directory.

Advertising opportunities: Marketing display spaces available in the CASBO Quarterly.  Or, become a partner or sponsor and have your company website linked directly from the CASBO page.

Apply to Be a presenter: Spread your knowledge by presenting at one of our annual conferences

Write informative articles: Enlighten colleagues with research

Representation: Participate in CASBO committees to help bring issues and ideas to the association.
